According to county manager David Curry, if you own a $100,000 home in Montgomery County, your tax will go up about $78 in the unincorporated areas of the county and about $28 in the incorporated areas.

Dec 31-- Toombs County extension service agent David Curry is retiring after 30 years working with the state's agriculture extension service. At a called meeting Tuesday, Toombs County commissioners agreed to employ Curry on an interim basis until the state can find his replacement.

Tuesday commissioners got a briefing from Georgia Department of Transportation officials on long range plans for roads in the county.As with everything else, Curry says planned projects depend on funding.
