    Hilda Elena Cruz worked as a Junior High bilingual teacher's assistant in the Santa Ana Unified School District for 7 years.She also has planned, coordinated and chaperoned teens to several World Youth Day Events.Throughout her life, Hilda has volunteered and been active in the Church.She now serves as St. Martin's Director of Outreach, Peace and Justice.She mostly enjoys the outreach aspect of her job because of the contact with diverse people and the opportunity to use social justice education and advocacy to help and empower people.Her contributions have included writing letter to our legislators, and participating in Catholic Lobby Day.Hilda also is a co-founder/co-coordinator of the Interfaith Council of North Orange County.She values the opportunities she has had to bring together and work with people of other faiths.Hilda married her high school sweetheart.They are blessed with three sons and six daughters.Evangelizing is of great importance in her family's life.She and her husband, along with the members of a small Christian community in Our Lady of the Pillar Catholic Church, have gone on door-to-door missions, giving witness of what Jesus has done in their lives.
