"I am constantly learning things on the job because the systems and technology we use keep changing," said Williams, who is working with Cruz on extensive programming changes.

Cruz, who joined MDRT's staff in 2000 after working as a consultant, noticed the dedication and professionalism of Williams and Felix right away."My team works very hard and they do a great job," said Cruz."They have been at MDRT for a long time and know the association inside and out.They are an enormous asset."

Cruz has big plans for the data processing department and is currently working to find ways to incorporate new technology into MDRT's systems and to merge the systems of the MDRT Foundation, the MDRT Center for Productivity and MDRT into one unified system, making it much easier for everyone to input and retrieve information.

"Another exciting thing we're doing is developing technology to put member information on the Web site so members can both find other members near them and in the same area of specialty," said Cruz, who is excited about his role in improving MDRT's information systems."Change is not coming.Change is here," he said."This is the time for MDRT to move forward technologically."
