Mr. Ronald Cruickshank

Trinidad and Tobago, the land of the world's best carnival, beautiful women, calypso, and soca music, and the world's premier and most versatile instrument, the steel band, is the native home of our most recent member of staff at Entertainment News and Views, Mr. Ronald Cruickshank.

Originally from the northeastern city of Sangre Grande, Ron, as he is fondly referred to at the office, brings to us his wealth of training and over fifteen years of sales, marketing and public relations experiences.

Within his extensive portfolio, Ron has worked with the Trinidad and Tobago government in coordinating the development of seventeen sites for residential occupation in association with the Inter-American Development Bank.

At the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine campus, Ron lectured in the disciplines of Advertising and Public Relations, in the British Chamber of Commerce and Industry professional qualification for four years.He also had his own consultancy in which, along with other professional associates, he designed advertising and public relations campaigns for small business.

For one year he worked as the co-coordinator for a Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization pilot project, on the incidence of substance abuse in the community.Further, Mr. Cruickshank's first experiences as a journalist were honed at the Trinidad Publishing House-The Trinidad Guardian newspapers where he wrote on subjects of business and international issues.

Ronald holds a BSC., multi-disciplinary degree in the Social Sciences from the University of the West Indies; an Associate of Specialized Business degree from the Association of Business Executives, London, with a major in Advanced Marketing Management.He also holds several diplomas in Advertising and Public Relations and Creative Writing from the Writing School, Glasgow, England.

Ronald currently makes his home in our vibrant and multicultural South Florida and joins us in our new business development department.

One of his personal passions and concerns is the incidence of missing children, and the national statistics that show over 800,000 children are reported lost, abducted, runaway, or missing in America per year according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.On this subject matter, he regularly speaks with PTAs and other organizations involved with children.
