Robert joined Save-the-Redwoods in July 2000 , having graduated in May of that year from the University of California at Berkeley with a B.A. in History.While at Berkeley Robert was involved in many student organizations , including the University Students' Cooperative Association , a non-profit student housing organization.Robert served as a member of the board of directors for the U.S.C.A. as well as representing the group in conferences across the West Coast.

Robert remains keenly interested in American history as well as in current affairs , and is active within a number of progressive organizations.He enjoys writing essays and has had several columns published in the Daily Californian as well as on several internet political opinion sites.Robert lives in Berkeley and enjoys travel , especially short weekend road trips around Northern California.
