CLEMSON, SC - Mr. Patrick Henry Crowther, age 87, a lifelong resident of Anderson County, until a recent move to Clemson Downs, Clemson, SC, died April 15, 2002 at the Anderson Area Medical Center in Anderson, SC. He was born December 19, 1914 and was the youngest of the four sons of Lillian Brown and Jesse Paul Crowther, and was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He was a 1936 graduate of Clemson College and was a founding member of the Anderson County Board of Realtors having served as a past president. Pat had also been an active volunteer, supporter and a leader in the Boy Scouts of America. He was a member of Central Presbyterian Church in Anderson where he had served as a deacon. Pat had earlier been a member of the Anderson First Baptist Church where he also had served as a deacon.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Betty Marshall Crowther; two sons and their families, Carroll and Nancy Crowther of Beaufort, SC and Pat and Teddee Crowther of Clemson, SC; four grandsons and their families, Logan and Cindy Crowther of Beaufort, Billy and Karie Ann Crowther and Marshall Crowther both of Charleston, SC and Lee Crowther of Clemson and three great-grandchildren.
