David Crowther, manager of Chromaticity Australia delivered two 3-day courses in conjunction with Canon New Zealand. He describes the training as a natural extension of the developing relationship between the Australian and New Zealand printing industries.
"As the course has proven to be such a success in the Australian market, it was a logical step to deliver it to New Zealand and meet customer demand for Transtasman operations," he said.
Inspiration for the course came after Nick Heaphy, national technical services specialist, Canon NZ received training from Crowther which he believed to be invaluable. "After attending a training session with David in Australia that I found useful in clarification of my colour knowledge, I thought that the course would really help some of the other staff, especially those who did not come from a colour printing background," he said.
The first course was delivered internally to Canon sales and technical staff, with the aim of them developing a deeper understanding of colour management.
