   Bret Crowther
   
   Bret Crowther, his wife Simone, and daughter lsobel (now 6) arrived in New Zealand four years ago to assist with the Kinloch development. Bret is particularly well qualified to manage this exciting project. In 1988 he graduated from the Queensland University of Technology with a degree in Applied Science in Construction Management. He also brings a wealth of first hand experience in golf course construction to the Kinloch development.
   
   Prior to his arrival Bret had been on assignment in Spain supervising the construction of the Terra Mitica Golf Course at Benidorm. This was one of the many golf course projects that he has been involved in over the last 25 years.
   
   In the last twelve years, other than the Kinloch project, Bret has worked exclusively on seven Nicklaus Design golf course projects that have taken him to countries such as the Philippines, Japan, Mexico and Spain. In those twelve years he has held a range of pivotal positions with Nicklaus Design including Site Supervisor, Project Manager and Design Co-ordinator.
   
   Well settled in Kinloch Village, Bret and his family have found time to explore beyond the Taupo region and particularly enjoys the Coromandel coast and the Hawke's Bay where they can pursue their passion for fine food and wine. Not surprisingly Bret and Simone are keen golfers. Simone, who plays off a low single figure handicap, is a very capable competitive amateur. During his university days Bret was an active member of the university's theatre group. He took part in many of its productions as an actor and in several other capacities including lighting, stage design and as a roustabout. Perhaps he may return to his Thespian ways and land a part in Peter Jackson's next blockbuster.
   
   Since coming to New Zealand Bret and Simone have had another daughter, Grace, and Bret has found the slopes of a ski field. When weather and time permits Bret sneaks away to the Whakapapa and Turoa ski fields.
