"I went to one of the K-Kids Club meetings and made a little presentation about the IDD project," says Jim Crownover, immediate past president of the Kiwanis Club of Willow Glen Sunrisers, San Jose, California, which sponsors the Willow Glen Elementary School K-Kids Club."They got really excited about it."

The K-Kids held a few fund-raisers, but the bulk of the money they collected for the Worldwide Service Project came from students who donated their spare change and left-over lunch money.
