CHICAGO-Deborah Slowinski Crown has been promoted to director of the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago's (RIC) Vocational Rehabilitation Services program, which provides consultation, training and job placement for people with physical disabilities. Crown is a licensed clinical professional counselor and a certified rehabilitation counselor-clinical supervisor, who joined RIC in 1991 as a senior vocational rehabilitation specialist.
Throughout her tenure at RIC, Crown has expanded her management responsibilities to planning and directing the activities of the Vocational Rehabilitation Services program and has upheld its mission of engaging active participation of the business community to enable qualified individuals with physical disabilities to obtain employment and succeed in today's workforce.
