    Steve Crowley (Grad DipDietetics, BAppSci, PGrad Dip Dietetics, MBA, MSc) is currently employed part-time as a Senior Lecturer in the Centre for Health Policy, Programs and Economics.Steve is subject coordinator for the subject 'Economic Evaluation I' and contributes to research activities in his chosen areas of expertise (particularly nutrition and pharmacoeconomics).Steve brings a wealth of experience to the CHPPE team, including his expertise as a senior manager with Janssen Cilag, a pharmaceutical company based in Sydney.Steve has directed the preparation of numerous submissions on behalf of pharmaceutical companies to obtain government listing for price reimbursement for drugs under the PBS.Steve is an experienced manager and public speaker.He has extensive experience with economic evaluations alongside clinical trials and with the practical application of economic techniques.

    Steve gained his original health economics training at York University in the UK and was a Senior Research Fellow with the Monash University Health Economics Unit (HEU) between 1994 and 1997.Since 1997 Steve has worked in senior positions with Glaxo Wellcome Australia, Merck Sharp and Dome and Janssen Cilag.Steve continued his academic affiliations, however, undertaking various project activities before joining the CHPPE in 2000.He has been a member of the WHO Committee on the Economics of Obesity (International Obesity Task Force) and has acted as a consultant to a number of organisations including State and Commonwealth health departments and private organisations (both food and pharmaceutical companies).

    Throughout his career Steve has consistently maintained his academic expertise.
