Sharon Crowley General Assignment Reporter
It has been "all in the family" for Sharon Crowley, general assignment reporter for FOX 29 (WTXF-TV). Crowley's broadcast journalism career began seven years ago at the FOX affiliate in Raleigh, North Carolina. Through the years she gained valuable expertise within the FOX family reporting on high profile stories such as the ongoing search for the Olympic Park bomber, Hurricanes Emily and Bertha, the Susan Smith trial in South Carolina, the Jon Benet Ramsey murder investigation and the Valu Jet crash for two FOX affiliates in the south.
From 1994-99, Crowley served as a reporter on "The Ten O'Clock News" for the FOX affiliate in Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to that, she worked as a reporter for "The Ten O'Clock News" at the start-up FOX affiliate in North Carolina. Early experiences in her career included work as a political reporter for News 12 Cablevision of Connecticut in Norwalk and radio.
A native of Connecticut, Crowley always knew she wanted to be a journalist and began to pursue her dream when she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in political science and journalism from Boston University in 1989.
Crowley currently resides in Center City. During her spare time, she enjoys jogging, reading, and traveling.
