Following auditions in Cork, 13-year-old Niall was called to Dublin where he first performed the Christy Moore hit.

"It's been great fun.I haven't met Dustin properly but I've talked to him on the phone," he said.

"I'm really excited now about Tuesday.I can't wait."

A first year student at St. Brendan's College in Killarney, Niall is also a member of Kilcummin Cómholtas.
