    Louise Crowley is a lecturer in law at University College Cork where she lectures Welfare Law, Intellectual Property law and Public Law.She is a graduate of UCC (BCL 1996, LL.M 1997) and completed her LL.M thesis on the financial implications of the Family Law (Divorce) Act 1996.She is a qualified solicitor and has previously worked in private practice.She has contributed to two books on family law; Family Law Practitioner (Round Hall Sweet & Maxwell) and Family Law (Blackstone Press).In addition she has published articles in the Irish Journal of Family Law, the Commercial Law practitioner and the Dublin University Law Journal.She is currently undertaking a PhD in the University of Cardiff, researching the discretion of the judiciary in relation to the division of assets on marital breakdown.
