This integration facilitates real-time order processing for highly-efficient service provisioning, customer care, billing and network migration, enabling Broadview Networks to initiate service quickly and offer one-stop customer care and unified billing.

   Dr. Crowley has spent more than three decades applying leading-edge technology to create practical business solutions. Reflecting his industry stature, Dr. Crowley was named a finalist in the 2001 Ovations Awards Program, in which COMNET and tele.com magazine recognized "leaders of service provider innovation" at the COMNET technology conference and exhibition Jan. 30. The judges cited his "positive impact on the global service provider industry" through his development and enhancement of OPENnet into a significant competitive asset.
   
   For 13 years before joining Broadview Networks, Dr. Crowley was a software consultant to telecommunications, banking and other clients, specializing in designing and implementing applications to manage high-volume transactions. His achievements included developing a client/server environment for a major New York bank; designing other large networked-computing applications; and counseling Stepstone Inc., creator of Objective-C, the first commercially-available object-oriented programming language.
   
   Prior to consulting, in 1981, Dr. Crowley co-founded and served as vice president of Non-Procedural Systems, a venture capital-backed firm that developed advanced, user-friendly database-management capabilities for the emerging workstation market. Earlier in his career, Dr. Crowley established one of the first in-house time-sharing environments as manager of interactive systems for Bank of America.
   
   Dr. Crowley holds a Ph.D. and a master's degree, both in computer science, from the University of Pennsylvania. He received a bachelor's degree in physics and mathematics from Boston College.
   
   A widely respected industry expert, Dr. Crowley has served as an associate professor of computer science at Fairfield University.
