   DES MOINES, IOWA- George L. Crowley was recently promoted to the position of Vice President, Director of Sales at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines. Crowley has worked at the Bank's St. Louis Regional Office since 1980 and will now move to the corporate headquarters located in Des Moines, Iowa.
   
   Crowley began his banking career in 1969 with First National Bank in St. Louis where he worked primarily in the Correspondent Banking Area. In 1975, he joined Nixdorf Computer Corporation as a systems engineer and sales representative specializing in the financial services industry. In 1980, he joined the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines as vice president and manager of the St. Louis Regional Office. He later accepted a position in the Bank's Marketing Area as a regional vice president assisting Bank members in eastern Missouri. "With over twenty years of service at the Bank, George has a great deal of experience in the financial industry," said Steve Kinner, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Home Loan Bank.

   George received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from St. Louis University. He has taken post-graduate courses at Washington University in St. Louis and graduated with honors from the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin.
