The most impressive player Tuesday night was Sandia point guard Timmy Crowell. He scored a game-high 36 points and made six 3-pointers. This game went to double overtime because Crowell wouldn't let Sandia lose.

Sandia coach Steve Davis sometimes refers to high-pressure situations as "Timmy Time."

After a Kasey Cunningham free throw, Crowell hit another 3 to tie the game with 2.8 seconds left. He scored eight points in the final 30 seconds of the first overtime.

Roybal entered the game averaging 19.8 points per game. Although Sandia limited him to just two free throws in the first half, he finished with 16 points.
