   STEVEN CROWELL Project Manager, Multifamily Rental Housing
   
   Mr. Crowell is responsible for the acquisition, development, finance, rehabilitation, and new construction of multifamily projects. After joining AHC in the fall of 2002, Mr. Crowell began work on the renovation of the Gates of Ballston, an historic 465-unit garden apartment community in Arlington. He is also developing a joint venture project, Kate's Trace, a 108-unit family garden apartment complex in Newport News, VA. Mr. Crowell was in the construction industry for more than 28 years in California and Oregon where he owned his own homebuilding firm. He was a board member and primary implementer of a Land Trust Homeownership program, and was Director of Development of two other nonprofit organizations. Mr. Crowell earned a business degree at San Jose State University, is a licensed Building Inspector and a licensed General Contractor.
