Puyallup schools deal with $89.9 million bond failure - [Cached Version]
Published on: 5/29/2001    Last Visited: 6/16/2001

Steve Crowell , director of the district-owned Karshner Museum , which would have received various facility improvements through the bond , said they will simply have to do without for now.

We want to be seismic-ready for future earthquakes , Crowell said , as the building is more than 70 years old. It's held very well Ñ through three decent earthquakes Ñ but who knows if we were to be hit by a harder one , he said.

But we're also very patient , we understand and very much know of the financial realities , Crowell said.Yes , the building is in gradual deterioration , but it has good bones , it's built well , and we rely on that and will trust in it..

What’s so funny about murder? LCT production proves a... - [Cached Version]
Published on: 4/5/2002    Last Visited: 4/5/2002

Vincent ends up trying to poison nearly everyone except the one who is supposed to die, says director Steve Crowell.

Crowell has directed two comedies for the LCT, "Weekend Comedy" and "Don't Dress for Dinner."This play was a stretch, he said, because the script notes were scanty.

"The main challenge is that there was not even a set design given.I had to read and re-read it until I figured out what was needed," said Crowell.

Though the subject matter is a bit unusual, Crowell says the play is language-appropriate for all ages.
