Everyone must have loved Jordan Crowell's mother, Iris Jordan.
...
Crowell will likely have a little more difficult time capturing the hearts of local tonight. The 25-year-old will serve as a linesman in tonight's game between the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs and Rocky Mountain Rage at CenturyTel Center. He will also work Saturday's game against Youngstown.

"I was hoping to get down there," Crowell said. "I got the last minute assignment Tuesday."
Crowell is part of USA Hockey's officials program. He works every league in North America except the AHL and NHL. He played as high as Junior-A in the Western League but was looking for a more stable future. He took a job at a rink near his home in Kansas City (he based out of Fort Worth during the hockey season).
"The (officials) were making such good money part time, so I started doing it on the side too," Crowell said.
Crowell was invited to an officials camp and was ultimately hired by USA Hockey.
He works for the CHL as an independent contractor.
...
Of course, Crowell has his sights set on the big time.
