Dana Crowell, CPMSM
Dana Crowell, Web Site Manager/Member-At-Large, has been working in the medical staff services field for over 15 years.Dana moved to Colorado from western Kentucky in 2003.She joined the team at Exempla Good Samaritan Medical Center who at that time was getting the new hospital ready to open its doors.As the Manager of Medical Staff Services, this was both an exciting and hectic time as bylaws, policies/procedures, privilege criteria, etc. had to be developed; not to mention the processing of close to 1,000 provider applications.In July 2007, she assumed the role of Medical Staff Services Director at Longmont United Hospital where she has enjoyed getting back to her roots in the community-based hospital setting.Dana understands the important role medical staff services plays in patient safety with the credentialing/privileging of a facility's providers and has begun to promote increased awareness of this at LUH.
When Dana is not focused on medical staff issues, she enjoys hiking and camping, amateur photography, and scrapbooking.While she and her husband have never been blessed with children, they do have two pampered Great Danes, Cody and Zeuss.
