Susan Spencer Crowe has had an extensive career both as an artist and arts professional in New York City, where she has lived for the last 35 years.Recent one-person shows include an installation of her steel and fabric sculptures in the Barrows Rotunda at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire in 1999, and a one-person show at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in 1997.
Ms. Crowe has also participated in numerous group shows throughout the country including recent exhibitions at the Art Capital Group in New York City, Holland Tunnel Gallery in (Williamsburg) Brooklyn, New York, The Helen Day Art Center in Stowe, Vermont, and Kentler International Drawing Space in Brooklyn, New York.She has also shown at Montclair State University in Montclair, New Jersey, the Berkshire Museum in Pittsfield, Massachusetts; Fondo del Sol Visual Arts Center in Washington, DC; and the Bronx Museum of the Arts, Bronx, New York.Ms. Crowe received her MFA from Vermont College of Norwich University, and her BFA from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York.In 2001, she became the Lily Auchincloss Foundation Sculpture Fellow, her second artist fellowship in Sculpture from the New York Foundation for the Arts.
