Shirley Ann (Ferguson) Crowe, 71, of 210 Locust Lane, Quarryville, joyfully was received into the arms of her loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, September 12, 2006, surrounded by her children in her home.

She was born in Quarryville, a daughter of the late Truman Ellis and Helen Mae Jenkins Ferguson. Shirley had previously worked at the former Hubley Toy Factory and then as a housekeeper at Black Rock Retreat. Family was the most important aspect of Shirleys life and she made all choices and sacrifices to uplift her children and grandchildren. What a precious gift she was to the world, but especially to her family.

Shirley wanted everyone to know how much she appreciated the warm and professional care she received from the LGH Health Campuss Renal Dialysis unit for many years. She had the pleasure of traveling a great deal and had many different dialysis units from Virginia Beach, Richmond, Rehoboth Beach, Orlando Florida, and the Thousand Island area of New York. There was no comparison to the love and care she consistently received at the Health Campus and for that our family would like to thank them all from the bottom of our hearts. Shirley often called them her "Angels" and they truly lived up to all her expectations!

She is survived by three daughters, Theresa L. Crowe of Quarryville, Sharan M., wife of Paul L. Sweigart, of Conestoga, and Vanessa L., wife of Bernard M. Winters, of Conestoga; two sons, William G., husband of Theresa L. Crowe, III, of Quarryville, and Larry P. Crowe of Quarryville; nine grandchildren; and a brother, Ellis T. Ferguson of Lancaster. Shirley was preceded in death by a sister, Marlene Eckman.
