CHEROKEE - Missy Crowe of Cherokee took over as the new Tribal Representative for the Tribal Casino Gaming Enterprise Board at Harrah's Cherokee Casino & Hotel on Tuesday.

An enrolled member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, Crowe has been employed in various departments at Harrah's Cherokee since the casino opened in 1997.

"As the tribal rep, Missy will be the liaison between the TCGE Board, casino management and employees," said Norma Moss, chair of the TCGE Board.

The U.S. government encouraged and supported the missionary work that resulted in the conservative faith now strong on the reservation, tribal member Missy Crowe said.
