Calence has hired Josh Crowe as vice president, network solutions, to drive enterprise solutions in the St. Louis area.He brings ten years of experience leading technology initiatives and providing strategic direction for enterprises.Crowe previously served as the chief information officer for Noble & Associates, an advertising and marketing firm in Springfield, Missouri, and as systems engineering manager for Cisco Systems, Inc. in St. Louis.He has worked with enterprises such as Anheuser-Busch, A.G. Edwards and Enterprise Rent-A-Car in support of various technology initiatives.Crowe is a native of St. Louis, graduated from Parkway North High School and received his Bachelor of Arts from Southwest Missouri State University.He will receive his MBA from Washington University in St. Louis in July 2004.

The most-likely perpetrators of attacks are disgruntled employees or recently fired ones who know how a company's computers are set up, said Josh Crowe, vice president in the St. Louis office of Calence Inc., a network-consulting firm based in Phoenix.

Companies must confiscate identification or access cards and deactivate passwords and e-mail accounts as soon as an employee leaves the company, Crowe said.
