   Don Crowe: Head Chef
   
   Don joins us as our chef for the summer and retreat seasons. Don was born in New Jersey many moons ago. He met his present wife, Alice, on the internet 8 years ago and they were married 3 weeks after they first said hello. Don has 4 children and 6 stepchildren. He has also been blessed with 9 grandchildren and 3 more on the way.
   
   Don started his career in retail and sales, entering cooking in the later years of his life. He attended adult cooking schools, read books and magazines and watched many hours of the Food Network. Don jokes that he wore out two garbage disposals with trial and error.
   
   Don has cooked in day cares, churches and camp retreat centers. Most recently, Don worked for 6 years with The Woodlands Lutheran Camp in central Florida. When the camp closed its doors late last year, Don was lead by God to apply here at Lutherhill and was hired the beginning of February.
