   Dr. Crowder's Biography
   
   Dr. Richard Crowder graduated with honors from the UMKC School of Dentistry. He was one of only 8 students, in a graduating class of 160, to complete the degree one year early. Dr. Crowder is the Past President of the Kansas State Association of Orthodontists. Dr. Crowder and his wife, Debbi, have three sons and a daughter. His home phone number is 733-4343 and you are welcome to call with questions or concerns about your orthodontic treatment.
   
   Our Staff
   
   Dr. Crowder and his staff are a group of highly trained individuals who put your needs first. Our employees go through a 2-4 week orientation before starting in their new position. Each technician spends time each week, in cross-training. At Dr. Crowder's office, we have monthly staff meetings and training sessions as well as quarterly retreats where we spend an entire day in training. Our staff have also recently completed continuing education programs in cities all over the U.S. So don't hesitate to speak with our staff. We are proud to say they are highly qualified and always glad to answer any questions you might have about your orthodontic treatment at Dr. Crowder's Office.
   
   Wall of Smiles
   
   The Wall of Smiles is our way of remembering and showing off how great our patients look when their orthodontic treatments are complete. Debanding appointments at Dr. Crowder's office are a celebration and each patient is presented with a gift certificate from Classic Impressions for a complimentary 8 by 10 portrait. We are proud to display this portrait on our Wall of Smiles for a few months before presenting it to the patient. Your new and improved smile is forever an asset to our orthodontic office.
   
   Reception Area
   
   At Dr. Crowder's office, making our patients feel right at home is our top priority. We have a special play area for children complete with carpeted walls. You are welcome to use our hospitality bar, as well as helping yourself to Dr. Crowder's homemade spiced tea, hot cocoa mixes and Cappuccino machine during cooler weather. Dr. Crowder's office provides a friendly, home-like atmosphere to make your orthodontic experience with us an enjoyable one.

   Initial fitting appointment
   
   The day you get your braces on will be the longest appointment you will have with us. The technical skills required of the staff require these appointments be scheduled first thing in the morning or first thing in the afternoon. At Dr. Crowder's office, we know you want your braces on perfect the first time, and the length of the appointment demands that Dr. Crowder, the patient, and the technician be very fresh and alert. Your trust and your confidence as well as your peace of mind are important to us.

   Dr. Crowder believes that all his patients deserve the very best orthodontic treatment available. He and his professional staff are committed to using state-of-the-art techniques to make your treatment as effective and comfortable as possible. In order to achieve this goal, Dr. Crowder only uses the best materials available, such as the revolutionary Damon Brackets. He does not use any reconditioned or reprocessed orthodontic products on his patients.
