UNICCO appoints Walter Crow as general counsel
NEWTON, MA - Integrated facilities services outsourcing provider UNICCO Service Co. announced Tuesday that longtime corporate officer Walter W. Crow has been appointed vice president and general counsel, reporting to President/COO George A. Keches.
...
Crow is responsible for all of UNICCO's legal interests, including contracts and leases, employment law, litigation management and business dispute resolution.
UNICCO said in a press release that, along with the new general counsel title, Crow has been appointed to UNICCO's MMMCrow Operating Committee.
Most recently, Crow was vice president and counsel at UNICCO where he was responsible for contract negotiations and for other areas central to the company's core business operations.
"Walter has proved himself in many different roles with his 26 years of industry experience and his 16 years at UNICCO," said Keches.
...
Crow started his working career as a cleaner and window washer while he attended college and was quickly promoted to cleaning account supervisor.
After college, he became a manager for Macke Building Services, a national building service contractor, and advanced to regional operations manager.
In 1986, Crow joined UNICCO in operations where he became responsible for one-third of company billings. He introduced numerous innovations, including formal time & motion processes, as well as new billing, cost estimating and quality programs.
He also established the company's first management training program. Then he resumed his academic studies and received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Boston's Suffolk University Law School.
UNICCO sales are $600 million annually; the company boasts some 20,000 employees and claims a 95 percent customer retention rate in providing maintenance, operations, engineering, cleaning, lighting and administrative/office services for some 1,000 industrial, commercial, corporate, educational, government, and retail customers.
