Ken Crow has been hired as general manager of National Golf Club with responsibilities over all club and real estate operations.
Crow brings to National 24 years of industry experience, mainly with Pinehurst Resort and its parent company, Club Corp. He will take over day-to-day responsibilities that owners Kenneth and Claudia Robinette have handled since purchasing the club in 2001.
"Ken brings the knowledge, ability and experience we need in our quest to make National one of the premier golf clubs in the Southeast," said Kenneth Robinette.

Crow, a long-time Pinehurst resident, was most recently director of national golf sales and development for Club Corp Resorts. Prior to that, he was director of player development for Club Corp from 2000-01. In nearly two dozen years with Pinehurst Resort and Club Corp, he held such key positions as: golf operations manager for Pinehurst courses Nos. 1-6, club manager at Daufuskie Island Club, director of the Golf Advantage Schools at Pinehurst Resort, and teaching professional at Pinehurst. He began his career as an assistant pro with stints at Whispering Pines Country Club, and Florence Country Club in Florence, S.C.
Crow begins his new position Oct. 18 and is very enthusiastic about the chance to work for Kenneth and Claudia Robinette.

"Today it's rare you find people that are so passionate about what they're doing, and I saw that in the Robinettes," said Crow. "Their touch and the things they've done at National have really revitalized the property, and I want to be part of taking National to the next level."
Crow said it's too soon to talk about changes he might enact. However, he said he will stress customer service above all else, especially as National continues its goal of becoming a totally private club.
"I will look at adding new services and enhancing services," he said. "I love the hospitality industry and want to work with members and employees to create the best possible community for them. We want the club to become something members want to use every day and a place for employee partners to enjoy coming to work."
Crow, 46, is native of Greer, S.C. He moved to Moore County at age 14 and graduated from Union Pines High School before earning a bachelor's degree in business administration from Campbell University in Buies Creek, N.C. Crow is married to Melody, and they have a five-year-old son, Benjamin.
