   According to Johnny Crow, projector director of Applied School Technology, schools were scored on project executive summary, establishing accountability measures and an evaluation chart, plus a strategic chart. They were also rated on anticipated expenditures, convergence of federal/state and other resources and consortion of building elements. Crow said Stone Elementary scored 96 points out of 100 in the screening process.
   
   Nine recipients will serve as anchor schools while the remaining 36 schools will serve as satellites. The anchor schools received a $118,000 grant while the satellite schools received a $105,000 grant.
   
   Schools which have received grants will be evaluated through classroom observation, test score analysis, interviews and surveys to determine the effectiveness of the program.
   
   "These grants are to provide professional development activities involving the integration of technology into the instructional process," said Crow.
