   Little wonder that after a session like 2003, state Rep. Dolores Crow decided this term would be her last. It was an exhausting session that put her in a unique position.
   
   She was the bulwark against any kind of a tax increase, the main bulwark, the leader of the opposition. For month after month, while the legislature broke record after record for length and people were getting tired, cranky and worse, while days wore on, the media and many others blamed her for the session's length and its members' intransigence, still she would not give in. She stood up to her party's governor, to her speaker, to fellow representatives (a large chunk of them, anyway), to the Idaho Senate and - it must have seemed - the whole world.
   ...
   But Crow's performance shaped the political structure of the 2003 legislature and set up a line of action for 2004.
