Alan Crow
Alan is currently associate editor of the Scottish Daily Mail and also edits The Scottish Mail on Sunday. A journalist with 27 years' experience, he started his career with Johnston Press in 1979, becoming their youngest weekly newspaper editor at the age of 21. He later had a spell at the Edinburgh Evening News as an investigative reporter before moving to The Daily Record as bureau chief in the paper's Edinburgh office. He moved within Mirror Group to become deputy news editor and then news editor at The Record's sister paper The Sunday Mail. In 1998, he moved to Associated Newspapers to the position of news editor at The Scottish Daily Mail. He later had a short spell as bureau chief of The Scottish Mail on Sunday, before moving back to The Daily Mail as executive editor. In 2004, he was promoted to his current position of associate editor of The Daily Mail. In his spare time, Alan has managed to co-write two books, and maintains a burning passion for his beloved Dunfermline Athletic Football Club.
