   Adam holds a B.S. in biochemistry from Clemson University and a Masters of Public Administration (with an emphasis in Emergency Management) from Jacksonville State University. He spent three years in Atlanta, GA, working as a regulatory compliance officer for a pharmaceutical company before moving to Kansas City to work in the emergency management and response field. He currently serves as the Emergency Response and Information Coordinator at the Platte County Health Department via a public health preparedness grant from the CDC.
   
   He is active in several local and regional emergency planning groups including the Kansas City Partnership for Emergency Planning, the Metropolitan Emergency Managers Committee, the Regional Homeland Security Coordinating Committee, and the Public Health Planning Taskforce.
   
   Adam regularly speaks in the Kansas City area to various groups, ranging from local citizens to regional COOP planning committees on Pandemic and Avian Flu as well as other public health threats.
