From 1990 to 1999, he held various positions at Recordati, including Vice President Corporate Development from 1995 to 1999, Division Manager of Diagnostics from 1993 to 1995 and Chief Financial Officer from 1990 to 1993. Additionally, he has held various management positions at Montedison (Fine and Specialty Chemicals) and Digital Equipment Corporation. Mario holds a bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the Catholic University of Milan and a masters degree in business economics from Harvard University.

   Mr. Crovetto joined Eurand as Chief Financial Officer in October 1999. Prior to joining Eurand, Mr. Crovetto served as Vice President of Corporate Development at Recordati Group. Before this, Mr. Crovetto held various positions at Recordati including Group Chief Financial Officer, Managing Director and General Manager of Technogenetics, Recordati's diagnostics subsidiary. Earlier, Mr. Crovetto served as VP Controller and Treasurer of Ausimont NV, a publicly traded sub-holding of Montedison Group. Mr. Crovetto holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics from the Catholic University of Milan and a Masters Degree in Business Economics from Harvard University.
