   Jim Crough, district manager of Laidlaw Transit Services Inc., said he has volunteer ambassadors who often take people on the bus who don't know how the transit system works and shows them the ins and outs of the system.
   
   Many of the committee members said they hope this is what people walk away from after the week is over the desire and ability to teach others about public transportation.
   
   "Out of the entire county we serve all but 8 to 10 percent of the population, but when you include the deviated route system with things like dial-a-ride we can pretty much cover everyone," Crough said.
