She was born in West Milan , N.H. , a daughter of Charles and Edna Horn Ordway.

She attended Keene ( N.H. ) State Teachers College , graduating in 1923. She taught in Portsmouth , N.H. , and Berlin before marrying George S. Croudis in 1936 in Yarmouth. She taught in Yarmouth until retiring in 1970.
She was a member of the Maine State Teachers Association , the Winnegance Chapter 119 Order of the Eastern Star of Yarmouth , the Women's Club of Yarmouth and the First Baptist Church of Yarmouth.
Her husband died in 1971 and her daughter Nancy Estabrook died in 1978. -
