Roxanne Crouch founded Timberwalks in part because of her passion for Germany: the country and the people, her love for the outdoors, and her German ancestry.Equally important, is her desire to be a life-long learner.She is a firm believer in experiencing a culture through its people, history, customs and folklore.Through years of traveling in Germany some of the most memorable experiences have been with the German people.Whether the conversation compares hometowns, food and wine recommendations or the beloved subject of German politics, it is sure to be amusing and informative.

Several years ago she left her position as the Director of a Montessori school in Indiana and relocated to the Charlotte, North Carolina area with her husband.Her work has always incorporated a "love what you do" philosophy.At Montessori, it was the staff and parents as educators of developing young children that brought a sense of fulfillment . Now she takes her philosophy to another level as she practices "do what you love".

An avid planner and organizer she has always relished the opportunity to make her travels educational and enlightening.Aside from all the planning, organizing and documenting, it's really the response from travel companions that is the reward.

Her personal travels in Europe include over two dozen trips since 1991 to Southern Germany, Austria and Switzerland, as well as England, Italy and France.
