Ms Melissa Crouch
Melissa joined the Asian Law Centre in 2005 as a research assistant. She is currently in the final year of her Arts/Law degree. Melissa has taught Bahasa Indonesia at Grade 5 and 6 level at Maranatha Christian School for the last two years. She has had experience with internally displaced people located in Manado, Sulawesi and Tobelo, Maluku. She has also recently completed an internship with the Local Ombudsman in Yogyakarta as part of her law degree.
Her current research interests include the rights of, and discrimination against, minority groups in Indonesia such as women and Christians, as well as the issue of decentralisation and the influence of Islam on regional regulations.
