Mrs. Crotser worked for many years as a waitress and also in the Vandalia Shoe Factory. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Vandalia. Survivors include a son, a daughter, a brother, seven grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. Mrs. Crotser was preceded in death by four sisters, Nola HEBERN, Irene DIECKMAN, Lois GRANDFIELD and Esther BLATHERWICK; and five brothers, Cecil, Loren, Merlin, Bob and Milas. Graveside services will be conducted at Noon Thursday in Liberty Church Cemetery in Brownstown by the Rev. John Koch.

Charles Crotser, 88, of Centerville, Ind., formerly of Fairview Heights, died Wednesday, May 18, 1988 at Reid Memorial Hospital in Richmond, Ind. He was a retired foreman for Illinois Inter-Urban Water Company where he worked for 35 years; member of Gospel Assembly Church in St. Louis and International Laborers Union Local 100 in Caseyville. Preceding him in death were his wife, Hertha R. nee Thomas, Crotser, a daughter, Edith Blumer in 1980 and a number of brothers and sisters.
