Pauline Crossley, Education & Business Coordinator at Cumbria Tourist Board said: "The children had great fun at Castle Green Hotel where Julie Chapman and her staff let them try their hand at all sorts of activities. We would love to encourage more primary school children to visit tourism businesses so that we can encourage them to explore the wide range of jobs available and hopefully sow the seeds for future careers."
The Big Books are designed for teachers to use with groups of primary school children and teacher tips are included with each activity. They are being distributed to 52 primary schools in the South Lakes for the start of the autumn term.
Please contact Pauline Crossley on 015394 40446/ pcrossley@gocumbria.org if you would like any further information on the Big Book or how you can work with you local school. -
