Nick Crossley is a professor and current head of Sociology at the University of Manchester (UK). In addition to papers, he has written books on both social movement theory (Making Sense of Social Movements, Open University 2002) and mental health movements (Contesting Psychiatry, Routledge 2006). He is currently researching the social networks of the UK suffragettes.
