    Neil Crossley Neil graduated from the University of Manchester with an Honours degree in Music, then went on to study saxophone at the Royal Northern College of Music, completing his Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Performance in January 2001. This was made possible by an award from The Countess of Munster Musical Trust. During this time, he won the RNCM Trevor Wye Prize for wind chamber music, Hattori Foundation Award for outstanding performers and was a semi-finalist in the BBC Radio 2 Young Musician competition.

    Neil is a freelance saxophone and woodwind player, working mainly in musical theatre. Recent shows he has played on include: 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' (London Palladium), 'Privates on Parade' (Jermyn Street Theatre), 'Starlight Express' (UK Tour), 'Miss Saigon' (UK Tour), 'Grease' (Cyprus performances), 'Carousel' (UK Tour), 'Fiddler on The Roof' (UK Tour), 'Ain't Misbehavin' (Cardiff International Festival of Theatre), as well as the last three pantomimes at Manchester Opera House.

    He has also played with a variety of ensembles such as the National Musicians' Symphony Orchestra, Andy Scott's 'SaxAssault', Manchester Concert Orchestra, The Andy Prior Big Band and Eclipse Saxophone Quartet. Recent ESQ performances include Manchester Jazz Festival, Bridgewater Hall concert, Jersey Jazz Festival/BBC broadcast, and they released their debut album last year.

    Alongside his playing commitments, Neil is tutor of saxophone and clarinet at Westminster Under School and a saxophone course tutor for Benslow Music Trust.
