Ara Crossen Korean Student Counsellor (BSc Social Work)

Ara graduated with a Social Work degree in Korea in 2002.At the completion of her studies she worked in a supportive role with adoptees as well as teaching children with intellectual disabilities.She discontinued this work to travel to New Zealand and perfect her English.As Ara herself is married to a New Zealander she understands the challenges arising from cultural differences first hand.This in combination with her skills as a social worker makes her ideally suited to supporting Korean international students and their families.Her empathetic and professional approach along NZEAS guidelines ensures the delivery of a friendly and effective guardianship service.
