   Lieutenant Colonel Wayne Cross, CD2, enrolled in the Canadian Forces in 1970. A graduate of Royal Roads Military College and Royal Military College.
   
   Lieutenant Cross was the Station Logistics Officer in Shelburne Nova Scotia from 1975 to 1977. On promotion to Captain, he was posted to London, Ontario, where he served as Assistant Base Technical Services Officer, Materiel Control Officer, System Control Officer and Base Supply Officer. During his six-year tour in London, Captain Cross also served as Adjutant at Ipperwash Army Cadet Camp, Quarter Master with the Canadian Contingent and Inventory Control Officer 73 Service Battalion, in Ismalia, Egypt.
   
   In 1983, Captain Cross was posted to the year-long French course and, upon its completion, was posted to Canadian Forces School of Administration and Logistics Borden as Staff Officer Training. On promotion in 1987, Major Cross was posted to Chatham, New Brunswick as the Wing Supply Officer. Following this, he was posted to 1 Canadian Forces FLU, Philadelphia as the Detachment Commander.
   
   In 1994, Major Cross was posted to Moose Jaw as the Wing Supply Officer. During the last year of his tour in Moose Jaw, Major Cross was part of the 15 Wing NATO Flying Training in Canada planning team. In May 1998, Major Cross was posted to Canadian Forces School of Administration and Logistics as the Deputy Commandant. In July 2000 Major Cross was promoted to his present rank and posted to Goose Bay as the Wing Contract Management Officer.
   
   In 2003 Lieutenant-Colonel Cross was posted to his present position as Director of Resources and Information Management in the Canadian Defence Academy Headquarters.
