The state looked into accusations about two unnamed inspectors, said Gene Cross, plant industry division director, including an inspector in the western part of the state who was said to have a spouse involved in the bee industry.

Revis' complaints have led to plans for earlier inspections statewide, Cross said.
A preliminary inspection will now be performed in November and December, providing a permit that the state could revoke if inspectors find disease upon returning in the spring.
