Brian Crawford
Brian Crawford has been an on-air volunteer for Dayton Public Radio since September 2003.Brian moved to Dayton from Sacramento, California, where he was actively involved with the local classical radio station. He quickly became a member and a volunteer for WDPR, and to his surprise was offered an announcer position during evening weeknights and weekends.Currently Brian is stationed at Wright-Patterson AFB serving as a program manager in the Air Force Research Lab.
Brian has a deep appreciation for classical music and the arts. When he was 16 and growing tired of "popular" music, his father bought a new stereo system along with a couple of classical sampler CDs.He immediately fell in love with the music and has never looked back.Brian is an avid collector of CDs and has amassed quite a collection. He frequently attends concerts and tirelessly studies classical music history. In addition, Brian is no stranger to the stage, as he is an active tenor in his church choir.
Brian fills in at the station as often as occasion permits, usually working 5 or 6 nights a month during the 6:00 to 10:00pm slot. When he's not playing pre-recorded or live programs, Brian will delight the Miami Valley audience with a wide array of nationalistic music. He is a big fan of composers who write music with a national flavor including Grieg, Sibelius, Dvorak and Smetana.
