A panel of aviation professionals chose Mr. Cousins for maintaining his solid scholastic record, completing college courses while still in high school and taking an active role in his church and community.

His extracurricular activities include participating in the band and choir at church, helping the needy by volunteering at a food bank, and being a leader in his local Boy Scout organization.

As a student at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Mr. Cousins plans to earn his Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Science.
