   Tim Courtney is working as the of VP Sales and Strategy for LCC International, a global wireless consulting firm with customers ranging from the largest wireless carriers and system vendors in the world to start-ups.Tim most recently was leading the Sprint professional services / backhaul team for Ericsson.
   
   Tim has 20 years in the telecom business, 17 within wireless.He started his career with General Instrument / Jerrold designing cable TV products and later moving into sales engineering.He worked ten years with Motorola, eight in the infrastructure division and two in the handset division.While at the infrastructure division he held system engineering, sales, sales management, and operations responsibilities (running the entire Bell Atlantic account team).He has lived in Chicago, Mexico, Venezuela, Atlanta and New Jersey while at Motorola.He also supported location based services, hosted and non-hosted applications, for the Motorola handset division.Tim also worked for Wireless Faculties Incorporated (WFI).He held numerous sales, business development and sales management responsibilities over four years at WFI.Tim is based in the Philadelphia area with an office McLean, VA.
   
   Tim grew up in the Midwest and attended Bradley university where he received a BSEE.He is married and has four children.He is a sports fanatic.He ran Division I track and cross country at Bradley and competes as a CATIII bicycle racer in the summers.Tim sits on the board of directors of various civic organizations, including an inner city drug / rehab and after school group.He also has supported local bicycle teams with a focus on junior and elite riders.
