Aaron Courchesne Miss Rodeo Canada 2009

On November 4th 2008 at the 1st annual Miss Rodeo Canada Luncheon, held at the Westin Hotel, Aaron Courchesne was crowned the 41st Miss Rodeo Canada. The former Miss Rodeo Okotoks topped the Rodeo Knowledge written Exam and the coveted Horsemanship Award to win the overall title. Aaron is only the second Okotoks representative to be Miss Rodeo Canada.

The 24-year-old cowgirl resides in Claresholm, Alberta. Aaron is a graduate of NAIT with a Horsemanship Major from Fairview college. Aaron will continue her education after her reign, pursuing a Degree in Public Relations.

Rodeo Queen Competitions are nothing new to this Cowgirl. Aaron has previously held the following titles: Paddle Valley Trail Riders Queen, Edmonton Gymkhana Association Queen, Alberta Western Saddle and Gymkhana Association Queen, and recently Miss Rodeo Okotoks 2007-2008.

This year Aaron will make over 300 appearances across Canada and the United States. She'll educate the public, inspire young minds, sign autographs, and do her part to motivate rodeo goers and contestants to keep the rodeo tradition thriving for years to come.

About Aaron Courchesne

Aaron is 24 years old and lives on near Claresholm where she works as a Horse Trainer and Equine Massage Therapist. She has a major in Horsemanship , is a trained Emergency Medical Responder and plans to continue pursuing a Degree in Public Relations . An avid cowgirl, an excellent ambassador for the sport of rodeo, Aaron competes in Barrel racing, enjoys riding and training horses, raising Jack Russell puppies, reading the latest "thriller", and helping with the farm and ranch work.

Aaron graduated from NAIT in 2003 with a major in Horsemanship then completed training from the Alberta College of Paramedics in 2006 as an Emergency Medical Responder. She then became a Certified Equine Massage Therapist in 2008.

Aaron is 24 years old and lives on an acreage near Claresholm where she works as a Horse Trainer and Massage Therapist.

She graduated from NAIT in 2003 with a major in Horsemanship and has since completed training from the Alberta College of Paramedics in 2006 as an Emergency Medical Responder, and became a Certified Equine Massage Therapist in 2008.

Aaron's volunteer efforts have been judging 4H Public Speaking competitions as well as fundraising for both Multiple Sclerosis Research and Breast Cancer Research.
