Ms. Heather Corwin is a native of Chicago, Illinois, and has lived all over the country, including Colorado, Tennessee and various parts of Florida.She now lives in Pasadena, California, practicing Rolfing, massage therapy, and teaching yoga - all while coaching actors on their techniques and performing herself on stage and screen!
Heather has trained internationally with trailblazers in acting and performance including Patsy Rodenburg (a renowned author, Resident Vocal Coach of the National Theater and Head of Voice at the Guild Hall in London) and Mark Wheatley (Theatre Complicité), and the theater experts at Shakespeare & Company.

Heather is one of only two students ever invited to Apprentice with Margaret Eginton, Head of Movement Training at FSU/Asolo Conservatory.

Currently, Heather is earning her yoga certification from Shiva Rea, an internationally renowned yoga master.

Heather earned her M.F.A. from Florida State University/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training, ranked in the top nine M.F.A. actor training programs by the New York Times.At the Asolo and in her undergraduate work at Millikin University, Heather trained in Acting Methods such as the Meisner Method, Practical Aesthetics, and the Stanislavsky System.While serving as an Assistant Professor of Theatre at Ashland University, the National Partners in American Theater named Heather the 2006 Regional Winner - Classical Acting Award Coach.This coveted mark of distinction was the only coaching award presented at the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival that year.
As a Movement for Actors Instructor, Heather integrates Alexander, Feldenkrais, Rolf, Pilates, Yoga, Fitzmaurice Bioenergetics (Tremoring), Laban, Lecoq, Grotowski, Vakhtangov, Meyerhold, and Eginton Alignment philosophies.With her extensive knowledge of anatomy and applied kinesiology, she uses strengthening and conditioning to train strong, supple and physically alert actors.Ms. Eginton invited Heather to present with her at ATHE 2007 Conference in New Orleans on Eginton Alignment.

As an actress, Heather has been described as "organic," "wonderfully ebullient," and "luminous."Past stage performances have included productions at the Asolo Theatre Festival, Tennessee Repertory Theater, Nashville Shakespeare Festival, Banyan Theatre Company, and the Cleveland Playhouse.You may also have seen her on a Toyota or ANA Airlines commercial.
